Do you recognize yourself in this?
We are looking for someone who feels a YES to living and working together in a close way.
Who feels a yes to take care of De Vlierhof with our community from a shared vision. Who feels a commitment to make De Vlierhof a home and who wants to share responsibility for the place. We also have specific needs. These are in the following areas:
– Accounting: operational processing & optimization of the accounting and, if necessary, drawing up reports and budgets in the long term.
– Marketing: website, newsletter, social media and marketing plan.
– Campsite management: booking program, host and management of lotus house.
– Facility care coordinator: ensuring that our retreat center is clean and beautiful for our guests.
– (Technical) Maintenance: buildings and grounds
– Kitchen: ensuring that the kitchen meets hygiene requirements, purchasing food and processing food
Ideally, one person takes charge of one or two sub-areas. With support from other residents or volunteers where necessary. This is in addition to your contributions within the community.
If you already have knowledge and experience with one or more components, this would be great. If not, then an affinity with these components and the will to learn them is also good. You don't have to do it alone. There are already residents who focus on a few areas. Together is more fun than alone.
What is De Vlierhof
De Vlierhof is a small-scale ecological residential community with a retreat center, camping and (vegetable) garden. We live and work in this beautiful place, which we lovingly care for.
The Vlierhof is an association where there is no leader or owner. The Vlierhof team is jointly responsible for the vision, strategy and daily management. Each team member / resident has their own responsibilities in caring for the Vlierhof. We do it together, with everyone calling on their own leadership qualities. In addition, volunteers regularly come to the place to contribute. It is nice to be able to share the place with others.
Through our nature campsite and retreat center we offer space for all kinds of forms of consciousness growth, personal development, connection, relaxation and well-being.
Vlierhof is a place that is in motion and where we welcome many people.
What do we ask of you?
Each community member is responsible for one or more sub-areas. Because we believe in the power of togetherness, you will certainly also contribute to various other sub-areas that are tackled from a joint perspective. Think of hosting groups, receiving camping guests, helping in the garden and cleaning the retreat centre.
In addition to these responsibilities, there are also various community tasks that each of us takes on, such as cleaning, cooking and washing dishes.
Vlierhof is not just a “normal” place to live, it was founded with the aim of contributing to a better world. Promoting spirituality, community building and ecology. We therefore find it very important that you can connect with our core values and vision, and that you also propagate these. If you come to live here, you carry this place together with the other residents. That requires commitment.
It is important that you can carry yourself, emotionally and financially. That you can recognize your own processes from maturity, take responsibility for them and want to grow.
What does De Vlierhof offer you?
Life at the Vlierhof is cool, challenging, enriching, intense, nice and so much more. We create moments of connection, such as a biweekly sharing, campfire and other community activities.
It is a wonderful place where you can develop both personally and professionally. Where there is plenty of room to co-create and to undertake. Vlierhof is a beautiful place in nature with plenty of outdoor space and fun extra facilities such as a sauna and swimming pond. And there are regular cool events that you can participate in.
We think it is important that there is a balance between your own time, developing yourself and Vlierhof time (you spend ⅓ of your time at Vlierhof).
As a resident you get your own bedroom that you can furnish yourself. Other facilities are shared. The contribution is € 400,- p/m for living costs, incl. internet, food/drinks.
The proces
At the moment, Vlierhof has room for 3 to 4 new residents. We think it is important that you, as a new resident, fit in with the team at De Vlierhof. That is why we like to take the time to get to know each other and to investigate
whether we can live together. We start with an introductory meeting and if there is a click from both sides, you can join us for two weeks. After these weeks, we will decide together whether it feels good to start a trial period of 3 months.
